Racing Blades are The Loft’s specialized slalom/speed design. Racing Blades enjoy a long history of competition success… Spindler-designed Blades have claimed 3 absolute World Speed Records*, Speedsailing World Cup Championships in 2008 & 2009**, PWA slalom victory in 2010** and 3rd mens slalom PWA 2011 (Ben Van Der Steen).
The 2012 version of the Racing Blade design is the easiest, fastest version ever created. Designed specifically for ultra-competitive slalom and speed racing, the 2012 version of our Racing Blade is your ticket to finish first.
Racing Blades 2012 include The Loft’s exclusive Internal Batten Tensioner System (ITS): This new Blade feature results in a lighter, smoother, more reactive and aerodynamic leech. The batten tensioners are moved forward, just behind the mast for improved rig inertia.
The ITS, combined with new reduced diameter carbon tubes, and the Racing Blade PX05 upper body panels results in extremely light upper rig weight for overall better performance.
Racing Blades are unique.
Features:
- Internal Kevlar strip applications that define shape profile and maintain shape stability – vertical and horizontal (at cams) orientation
- Blade mast pocket construction: mast panel AND pocket sides (3 elements) tensioned directly; equalized loading- firm, clean, easy-rotating leading edge
- Alternate side batten pocket applications with xply pockets (centered battens)
- Stepped x-ply construction (5mil lower sections, 4mil upper sections and mast pocket)
- Sensitip head batten system
- Neoprene closure at the boomhole with dual spiral zips
- Rdm & Sdm compatibility (sizes 6.3 and larger)
- Metallic cam interfaces
- 4 Teckams- simple, functional, light, adjustable, durable
- 3 Sdm teckam for conversion Rdm/Sdm
- The Loft’s exclusive Internal Batten Tensioner System (ITS). Batten tensioners are moved forward, just behind the mast, for improved rig inertia. Shifting weight forward results in extremely light upper rig weight, improved swing weight and improved leech reactivity, incredible performance.
