Finally back! All the ho’okipa sailor can finally say this. Yes we are back with the even more unbreakable Ho’okipa mast with improved bend curve and production consistency. The mast took a 7 months development in Ho’okipa and Jaws. This is the mast that will not let you swim into that big jaws. The mast has been enginereed around all the recent Wave Sails. The taper is different from the RDM 100 but with an higher diameter on the bottom section. The mast is an 80% carbon with a 20% of glass epoxy fiber. The mast had been also built with Ultra Stratification technology where the pre-pregs of glass and carbon fiber are matched electronically to ensure a perfect quality. This mast is particularly indicated for customers looking for the performing Ho’okipa mast. This is for sure our best seller RDM mast. The boom area is protected by the exclusive gold & polymer shield to avoid overstress from the boom front. This mast has also the autoclave consistency production process, this is available to very few companies and involves curing the carbon under high pressure, literally driving tiny air bubbles that cause imperfections out of the mast. The RDM 85 line has the exclusive process of the Aero Sanding Joint where the joint is sanded by air-pressure to ensure that the joint is grinded the same on all the surface avoiding the stuck of the pieces.
